About us
hsp
One of the longest-established printing operations in KwaZulu-Natal, Human Scale Printers has been shaped by its shareholder and CEO, G.B. Buthelezi, into a state-of-the-art operation based in Durban.
We offer a comprehensive suite of services, namely lithographic printing and packaging solutions, supported by an in-house design and graphics facility. Additionally, we provide an extensive range of finishing techniques to ensure the highest quality.
background
Human Scale Printers was founded in 1986 at Umlazi Business Park to contribute to the industrialization and empowerment of Black-owned businesses at the time. This strategic location proved advantageous, enabling us to engage with businesses in Durban South—an industrial hub recognized as the second-largest contributor to industrial output in South Africa, following Gauteng.
In 1997, Human Scale Printers expanded by taking over the internal printing presses of what was then Hulett Aluminium in Pietermaritzburg, marking the establishment of our then second branch in the capital of KwaZulu-Natal. This expansion allowed us to better serve the greater Msunduzi area, including its industries and government departments.
mission
At Human Scale Printers, we are committed to leading the printing industry with an innovative, creative approach, delivering high quality products on time to our valued customers. Our goal is to create employment opportunities and provide training for previously disadvantaged individuals.
